An Indian Furniture Manufacturer and Exporter, Three Decades in the Making

From a 5,000 sq. ft. workshop in Jaipur to a 483,000 sq. ft. manufacturing ecosystem serving partners across 35+ countries - Artasia has spent nearly three decades growing through craft, trust and the constant pursuit of being better.

Who We Are - Artasia
WHO WE ARE

The Scale Has Changed.
The Way We Work Hasn’t.

Artasia began in Jaipur in 1996 with a small workshop, a handful of craftsmen and one export opportunity. What followed was not one sudden leap, but years of learning, building and earning trust one programme at a time.

Furniture grew from our foundation in craft. Home furnishing and rugs broadened how we could think about the home. Today, Artasia works across approximately 483,000 sq. ft. of manufacturing infrastructure, creating furniture, home furnishing and rugs for partners across 35+ countries.

But the principle behind the business remains surprisingly simple:
Stay close to the product, stay honest with the partner and never stop improving the way things are made.

Milestones That Moved Us Forward

From Craft to Capability

From Craft to Capability

Artasia began with hands-on craftsmanship, but the ambition was always larger than a workshop. As export relationships grew, we invested in the systems, infrastructure and technical understanding needed to turn individual pieces into repeatable manufacturing.

From Furniture to the Home

From Furniture to the Home

We realised early that buyers were not sourcing isolated products - they were building collections. Expanding into home furnishing and rugs allowed Artasia to move beyond furniture, with more categories developed through one connected manufacturing ecosystem.

From Capacity to Control

From Capacity to Control

Growth was never only about becoming bigger. We brought critical processes closer - from material preparation and woodworking to finishing, upholstery, weaving, quality control and packing - so more of the product could remain visible, accountable and within our control.

From Growth to Responsibility

From Growth to Responsibility

As Artasia expanded across markets, so did the expectations placed on us. Responsible sourcing, traceability, compliance, workplace standards and environmental practices became increasingly embedded in how we operate. Because for us, progress is not simply about making more. It is about making better - with greater responsibility for the people, materials and markets connected to every product.

The Artasia Compass

Purpose Today, Goals for Tomorrow
Vision

Vision

To build Artasia into a manufacturing partner where better design, better processes and better responsibility create long-term value for our customers, our people and the next generation.

Mission

Mission

To grow Artasia into a stronger global manufacturing partner over the next five years - by deepening our presence across global markets while building 100+ long-term partnerships, 35 original collections and a more responsible manufacturing ecosystem.

Values

Values

Our values are the guiding stars of our journey:

• Integrity lights the path.
• Innovation fuels our course.
• Entrepreneurship ignites our spirit,
• While Respect for People,
• Care for Community and Transparency are the constellations that shape our destination.

Crafted Through Time

Artasia was not built from a master plan written three decades ago. It grew through opportunities taken, lessons learned, relationships earned and the willingness to keep evolving when the business demanded more.

1996

The First Leap

Ravi K. Laddha and Sandeep Mundra began Artasia with a small workshop and their first opportunity in exports. Those early years were deeply hands-on. Products were developed close to the craftsmen making them, buyers spoke directly with the people responsible, and every order became a lesson in what international markets expected.

2004

Learning to Think Like a Manufacturer

As the business matured, Artasia began investing more deliberately in how products were developed and produced. Material preparation became more controlled. Technical development became more structured. Quality moved from instinct into process.

2015

Relationships Began Our Global Footprint

By this stage, Artasia was no longer building the business around individual opportunities. Relationships were beginning to deepen. Buyers returned with new programmes. Introductions created new partnerships. The company learned the rhythms of working across different customers, markets and buying teams.

2025

The Next Generation Steps In

For the next generation of the family, Artasia was never just somewhere their parents went to work. They grew up around it - understanding how much work sits behind something that eventually looks effortless in a showroom. Today, they are beginning to find their own place within the business - the story that began with two founders is gradually becoming something larger.

The Capability Behind the Craft

Inspiration Based Design

Twice a year we research emerging directions in colour, material and form across our key markets, then develop complete collections against them. As a custom wooden furniture manufacturer and exporter, it means a buyer arriving with no brief still leaves with something commercially viable - and a buyer with a brief starts from a library rather than a blank page.

1

Research

An in-depth study of emerging trends across our key markets, alongside a review of what is actually selling for our buyers. Direction grounded in sell-through, not forecast alone.

2

Mood Board & Trend Boards

Research becomes visual direction - palettes, finishes, materials and silhouettes, organised by market and by price point.

3

Ideation

Sketches evolve into detailed 2D and 3D models, where artistic intent meets manufacturability, costing and container efficiency. As a solid wood furniture manufacturer designing in-house, we know at concept stage what will actually build.

4

Feedback

Internal review refines every design - renders perfected, finishes selected, constructions stress-tested against our quality standards before anything is cut.

5

Orthographic Drawing

Detailed technical drawings define structure, joinery, tolerances and hardware. This is the document the factory floor builds from, not an artist's impression.

6

Sampling

The design becomes a physical prototype: costed, photographed, tested and ready to show - with packing specification and container calculation attached.

Process Complete

All stages executed successfully • Ready for volume production & delivery

Client Led Collaboration

Most of what we manufacture doesn't exist until a buyer asks for it. As an OEM furniture manufacturing company with in-house CAD and product development, the process runs the same way and ends with a prototype you can put in front of your own buying committee.

Inspiration from Buyer

Inspiration from Buyer

You share the brief - designs, references, target market, target landed cost. We ask the awkward questions early, while changes are still free.

Ideation

Ideation

We translate the brief into concepts that are manufacturable at your volume and viable at your price point, not merely attractive on screen.

Orthographic Drawing

Orthographic Drawing

Every specification captured in technical detail - dimensions, materials, joinery, finish, hardware, packaging. Approved by you before a single component is cut.

Sampling

Sampling

A prototype matching the drawing exactly, with costings, packing specification and container calculation attached. As a reliable OEM furniture manufacturer for global brands, the sample is the contract.

Feedback & Approval

Feedback & Approval

We refine until it clears your standards, then lock the specification as the reference for every production run that follows. Container four matches container one because both were built to the same approved sample.

Some Things Need to Be Experienced in Person

Our Jaipur showroom brings finished furniture, textiles and rugs together with the materials, finishes and development thinking behind them. It gives visiting partners an opportunity to experience collections in person, review new developments, compare finishes and discuss ideas directly with our team. And because the showroom sits close to our manufacturing operations, the conversation can continue naturally from the finished product to the processes and people behind it.

Partners' Desk

Message from the Partners

When we started Artasia in 1996, we were not thinking about how large the company might become. We were focused on something much simpler - making good products, keeping our word, and earning the confidence of the people who chose to work with us.

Nearly three decades later, that belief still defines how we see the business.

We have grown, our capabilities have expanded, and our products now travel much further than we could have imagined in those early years. But the relationships behind that growth remain the part we value most. Many partnerships that began with a first order have continued across collections, seasons and years - and that continuity has shaped Artasia as much as anything we have built inside the factory.

We still stay close to the work. We still walk the floor, review new developments and speak directly with our partners. Because no matter how much a company grows, responsibility should never become distant from the people making the decisions.

Today, Artasia is also entering a new chapter. The next generation, which grew up around this business, is beginning to bring its own thinking into it - new ideas, new expectations and a stronger responsibility toward what manufacturing should become.

Our responsibility is to leave the business stronger than we found it.

One that creates value for the people who buy from us, the people who work with us, and the people who will carry Artasia forward.

That is the business we are still building.
